The Medical / Health Geography Lab in the Department of Geography at Michigan State University is a research laboratory which concentrates on the geographic dimensions of public health and public health policy. Health care accessibility in Michigan has been a core focus of our work since the lab was founded in 2006, and we work closely with the State of Michigan Department of Community Health on health access provision and regulation. We focus on Michigan issues, and on spatial scales from the local to statewide. Our broad agenda parallels the University's: to advance knowledge and transform lives by innovating and applying geoanalytical approaches to vital health care issues.

Please investigate the website to learn more about the people that contribute to the Lab, about our research projects, and the organizations we work with.
